Rollin McCraty is vice chairman and head of the research team at the Institute of HeartMath in Boulder Creek, California, which has been carrying out scientific research into the intelligence of the heart since 1991. He is an international authority in the field of heart coherence and the effects of positive and negative emotions on human psychophysiology. In his role as chief science officer, he has carried out countless studies of the effects of emotions on heart-brain interaction and the immune system. He and his research team have been involved in various joint studies with other academic and medical institutions, including Stanford University and the Miami Heart Research Institute. Rollin McCraty has numerous scientific publications to his name, many of which have been published in leading scientific journals, including American Journal of Cardiology, Stress Medicine, and Biological Psychology.
